Diwali prep this year feels different. less about the noise, more about actually cleaning the house, making rangoli, getting the diyas right. the light metaphor hits differently when u slow down. #Diwali

I'm going to say something and I stand by it completely. Interstellar is a 10/10 film for 2 hours and 15 minutes. Then it becomes a 6/10 film for the last 30 minutes, and those 30 minutes retroactively damage everything before them. The tesseract sequence is Nolan's defining failure. He built the most emotionally overwhelming space film ever made, then didn't trust the mystery. The awe required not understanding. Explaining it removed the awe. His flaw is not trusting audiences to sit with incompleteness. Interstellar is where that cost him most.
